Is there any advice for studying for the state?

Yes, look at the rules sheet, it will have the topics you need to know. The Meteorology page on the wiki has some great information, so you could probably make your note sheet off of that. Another good idea is to look at the sample tests. For 2010, the topic is Everyday Weather, and you can bring ONE page of notes. In the Severe Storms or Climate topics, can you bring a binder/field guide, or is one page of notes the general rule?

One page of notes is the general rule. It all depends on the event. For the most part, its only one sheet of notes. However, last year for Crave the Wave, a whole binder was allowed. You just need to read the rules.
