Well, like you said, IMSA did win at COD (we got second...SO4L wrote:We were wondering why Stevenson didn't do as well. I still think that they're better than IMSA this year. At the College of DuPage Regional, the IMSA team seemed to be really enthusiastic about competing and they won it. Now, there's no scores to prove that Stevenson is better but I'm rooting for them; we'll have to see who does better at State.IMSA is definitely not the best team besides new trier. I have a friend from stevenson who said their entire varsity was "jv" and jv was "varsity" at Loyola because of some accidental screw up and thus their jv team didnt compete against any of the varsity teams there. HOWEVER, after looking at the compiled list of team rankings of varsity and jv placings combined my coach realized that their jv beat out the everyone except New trier.
you guys had better go to natsguerillagorilla wrote:I DO! But the thing is, I'm from Kennedy....

yep. pretty much. it was kind of fail last year... and our picture this year is even failer XDSO4L wrote:Since they want electronic pictures, I think it's just a slideshow of all of the competing teams, but I'm not positiveCould anyone tell me what exactly the "parade of schools" is?
hehe some of us will probably end up seeing each other and even competing in the same rooms at states without even realizing it

Nope! I'm Jeannie. And last year, my school was in the higher division, but epically failed. They got one medal (I was still in Div B, so I don't count). It was in a trial event that they had stayed up to 3 the night before building for, and came in dead last. However, only three teams competed so it was a default medal. So, this year, I suspect we may drop.lllazar wrote:Umm...your names Heather right? Don't wanna get it wrong...![]()
But ya, is your team in the higher division?
The picture slideshow was pretty bad last year. Teams sent weird pictures and some didn't work. I think our pictures might have been put under a different school's name by mistake.
State will be close this year. I'm amazed. I wouldn't necessarily say New Trier failed the Crystal Lake invite though. They still did great, just not as well. Speaking of Crystal Lake, Central took out a full page ad in the newspaper this morning to wish their team luck at state. My school didn't do that. I'm very jealous.
There once was a group of teens
Who were lean mean science machines.
They liked to win medals,
when everything settles
and their favorite color was green.

They removed the parade of schools since last year, when they decided it was getting out of hand, with kids cartwheeling across the gym, and doing other stunts...reyman wrote:Could anyone tell me what exactly the "parade of schools" is?
Now it is just a powerpoint with pics of schools

Re: Illinois 2010
New trier probably sent their better team to the Niles west Invite on the same day, where solon came from Ohio to participate.courage7856 wrote: State will be close this year. I'm amazed. Re: Illinois 2010
2 days left till state guys...and did Solon really come to the Niles West Invite? I mean i know theyre nats champs but i didn't know schools could be so dedicated as to go OUT OF STATE for an invitational....
But that's the kind of thinking you develop when you go to a school which...actually lets not even go there, i should just be happy my school has a Sci Oly team.
