Falling mass above 75cm
The rules seem to indicate only the launching device and counter weights need to be within the 75cm height restriction - does it seem that the falling mass needs to also stay under the 75cm? In order to hit our 8 meter mark we have to pull our mass up around 80cm.

Design Log and Practice Log
The rules are stating you need and design log AND a practice log and each log needs a front cover sheet. I interpreted that as 2 separate logs. The newly released scoring sheets also has them separated. So is everyone bringing 2 different logs with different doesn’t covers??

Re: Scrambler C
So reading the rules, it doesn't seem like there would be a need to steer the vehicle based on the description of the track in the rules. When I go look at the track diagram on soinc.org, it shows a bucket at the center point, but the file says 2017 track diagram. I am assuming that the rules are ...

Re: Scrambler C
If your school does not let you print with its 3D printer you can find some online 3D printing that is pretty inexpensive. We used Craftcloud to 3D print- it gives you a lot of different vendors and different pricing depending on what material you want to use. Just another option if you really want ...

Parachute material
We are consistently getting flights above 20 seconds with ceiling height of about 33ft but want to get above 30. We are using the thinnest painter plastic now for our parachutes but have seen teams with some type of plastic that seems lighter and can get flights into 40 second range. Anyone know ...

National Invitational
According to the information sent out last week, the whole log needs to be submitted by Dec. 18 with the video for students to be invited to the next round on Jan 8? Is this correct- the log with cover page, everything in metric units, drawing, etc.?

Our current chargers do have a switch also. Can you recommend a website or video that explains what you stated about using a cheap battery holder instead so we have an idea how to make this? Thank you.

“Bottle label must be presented at check in”
Our rockets were built with the labels attached to the bottle, but the size of “20 fl oz” can clearly be seen on the rocket. I saw in the news rules for this year it must be presented at check in- do we need to take the label off to “present it at check in” or can it be still attached to the rocket?

Re: Mousetrap Nationals
Yes! That’s why I had a question about it. Gravity vehicle specifically says 5 hours so I would assume it would be similar. When accessing the scioly platform the mousetrap event says 100 minutes for the test when you are accessing the code word, but that seems too fast to be able to take pictures ...
