Re: Astronomy Reference sheet question.
For anyone looking back on this later, there was a user asking a question about how the Astronomy cheat sheets work. I didn't even know you could delete posts, but saw that I was now responding to nobody so I figured I should clear it up

Re: Astronomy Reference sheet question.
Yes, one of the unique features of Astronomy is that it is a limitless reference. You can even use a computer, given that it is offline, as your cheat sheet. There are pros and cons to physical or digital references, so it is really up to your own style. I always preferred physical cheat sheets ...

Re: anyone else find the test quality at states questionable
So I'm from Michigan so I can't comment too much on what's going on at your states, but I know here we work pretty hard to vet volunteers and get them the help they need to be successful. The biggest issue with Science Olympiad is that it is a very difficult thing to just jump into. Most volunteers ...

Re: Michigan 2023
For any gold bids: your coach needed to contact the state tournament leadership about the fact that you qualified. It is getting late, but if you want to compete you may still be able to if you contact them very soon. We've talked about this in the discord but wanted to post it here in case there's ...

Re: Science Olympiad is really unfair. (Small rant)
I would say your story almost proves how fair Scioly is. The fact you took second at states with as little resources as you did is awesome. There are activities where money directly translates to performance, and Scioly is definitely on the better end of that spectrum.
