Re: Rules Clarification

Nothing on this site is official. I would send a clarification to the rules clarification area on soinc.org.

Rules Clarification

Teams with no device, no ration estimates, or that do not make an honest attempt to utilize a device of the prescribed type to determine the mass ratios receive R1, R2, and TS of 0. Such teams will be allowed to compete in Part I (the written test).

Does this rule ...

Re: Mission Possible C

Is it possible to only get points from the start action and other actions within the rules without completing the final action? Do all actions have to successfully result in the trigger of the final action to receive points?

Re: Mission Possible C

How did you make the final action work? I'm having trouble with getting the final action to work since the platform has to be the highest point and I can't think of anyways to propel the platform from underneath.

Re: Herpetology B/C

I probably wouldn't put a field guide in a binder, as that will probably use up most of the binder space that you have in there.

I have an invitation coming up and I haven't completed my reference pages yet, so would it be legal to attack a field guide to a binder this way?
I would assume you ...

Re: Herpetology B/C

Since I don't have a printer friendly version of my field guide, can I just tape a piece of paper to it with three holes to attach to the 2-inch binder?

Error in the national herpetology list.

In the list below the rules it lists the genus Charina – rubber boa and rosy boa
Rosy boa is not under the genus of Charina.

Re: Herpetology B/C

In the C division rules, it says that I need to know the "anatomy and
physiology, reproduction, habitat characteristics, ecology, diet, behavior, conservation, taxonomy,
sounds, and biogeography"

What does it mean by conservation and biogeography?
