Re: Circuit Lab B/C
I am not sure about all but the 3 out of the 5 I tested did so. I am fairly sure that all connections were solid as clean alligator clips were used. Maybe the voltage across the resistors were so low that it did not register on the voltmeter's scale? Was this at Cornell b/c the Cornell Circuits lab...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C Build
Ooooh okay. So no matter what, my equation should work, right? I mean transferring water from one container to another shouldn't matter right? Well to a degree. You have heat loss and then that heat loss increases to a point when water is transferred multiple times. So it can depend on the situatio...

Re: Circuit Lab B/C
Quick question, are event supervisors allowed to restrict the multimeter you use in labs or prevent you from using your multimeter altogether? I was thinking about practicing with worse multimeters in case I had to use one in competition. Rule 2d addresses this issue. It appears that it's up to the...

Any thoughts on the new cotton ball this year? imo I don't think it will make too much of a difference in the heat retention.

I don't think that you need that many words on a cheat sheet. My cheat sheets were just 12pt font and I placed at my regional tournament.

Re: Hovercraft B/C
Our ES at Regionals wouldn't let us change batteries between runs, no matter how much my partner and I pointed to the rule allowing us to modify our vehicle between runs. He said, "It wasn't in the rules, so I can interpret it however I want." To be fair, our hovercraft was pretty bad, es...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
Is it Newton's Law of Cooling really that accurate? I've been estimating all my temperatures through a linear equation and its turned out alright so far.
