Re: Helicopter Flight Times
I was at the competition today and high times DID get stuck. There were ridges so the top would get stuck but eventually most helicopters broke off. My helicopter usually gets 2 minutes but because of these ridges/indents, i got a time of 2:46. The advisers were nice enough to tell me I was in 2nd ...

Re: Towers B/C
Thanks Balsaman. I probably misread and misinterpreted the posts (I did read the past post you told me to read but I was referring to some post on the previous page) and I'm also on a time constraint with no time to build for my next competition (which is in a few days).

Re: Towers B/C
How do you get a higher density wood but lighter? It seems that every time I get wood, the lighter density the lighter the weight. My balsa sticks for 1/16 by 1/32 ranges from .2-.4 and 1/16 by 1/16 ranges from .1 to .22. Which wood am I better of using? I saw the past few post about bucking ...

Re: Towers B/C
I am stuck on deciding which sized bracing to use on my tower. Should I use 1/16 by 1/16 or 1/16 by 1/8? It's going to come down either using more thinner bracings or less bracings but thicker. Anyone know which configuration is the better choice for the tower?

How did you guys reach 200 winds? Hearing that number is insane. I've been using .094" thickness and I've been going 100 winds with a 15:1 winder, giving me a time of at least 1:30 (being beaten up, my best time been 1:45 - did not hit the ground and was in better condition). I'm trying to increase ...
