I have ("had", I should say) 18 tasks, and we got first at states. Our device was 40 x 50 x 50.5, and we received full points except for the fact that a ball flew out (-50 pt) and the time waster accidentally went about 42 seconds over the target time.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the cartoon shows a pulley with IMA=1. To get IMA>1, you need to incorporate a movable pulley.

What torqueburner says is right, but I would maybe suggest submitting a clarification for your state. My school is in Virginia, and someone asked a similar question. Our clarifications say that:
