I know that the Illinois state tournament is already held at UIUC, and since most of the major teams in Illinois are from the Chicagoland area, I am not sure that an invitational would draw much attention or interest from those strong teams (Stevenson, NT, Hinsdale, LT, Waubonsie/Neuqua/Metea, etc ...

Does anyone know about any student-led opportunities or organizations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to help out with the state tournament? Curious as I'll be a student there in the fall

Anyone know what the top helicopter time was as well?

New Trier seems to be stronger than Stevenson this year, I'd expect it will be intense between those two teams..
I'm sure Hinsdale Central will follow up right behind them at 3rd.
4th and 5th seems a little more up for grabs. Lyons Township and Waubonsie both didn't win their regionals this year so ...

What is the distinction between average molecular velocity and root mean square velocity, and how do you calculate them differently? The only formula I have been introduced to is Sqrt[3RT / M], and I don't quite understand how average velocity should be calculated differently.

Any predictions for how things will shape up for Division C? Should anything different from last year's top 5 be expected?

Has anyone else experienced problems with the knot on their rubber motors? Sometimes when we're flying it looks like the knot gets stuck on the side of the motor stick and stops our bottom rotor from rotating freely (independent of the motor stick). Any advice / solutions?

Trying to build the freedom flights kit, but our instructions guide is missing a few pages.. could someone possibly send me a picture or a scan of pages 7 and 8 in their instructions? Thanks
