Re: Write It Do It B/C
What are the WIDI rules in the following situation:
If there is a figure that has the shape of a letter - for eg an 'X", will the team be tiered if the writer says 'The figure looks like an 'X' '? The reason I ask is, would it be considered drawing the picture of the object?
Judging from the ...

Re: Entomology B/C
For those of you still competing in Ento, or just got an attachment to bugs and want to learn more for studying's sake, here's a community-based website full of pictures (identified by experts/professionals) of insects. It's really good because you get to see more different ones you might not find ...

Re: corrupt a wish
Granted, you now live your world in dread and misery.
I wish I was the pokemon master.
Granted, but now you die because you end up playing pokemon forever.
I wish there were at least 3 people on IRC chat. (besides the staff they're always there)
Granted - but it turns out one of them is your ...

Re: Entomology B/C
For those of you who have competed in this event at the National level in the past, what types of stuff are you studying this year?
I remember one station last year wanted us to make an "insect collection" (or something like that) based off a description. I ended up just writing "Culicidae ...

Re: Southern California 2015
No offense but does Carmel Valley really have a good chance at beating Muscatel? You know, just because Muscatel has always won for a really long time. And this year they're still good.
I wouldn't know for sure, we haven't competed against Carmel Valley this year, only Muscatel.

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
Hi, friends. I would like to know specifically what oceanic tools to study. Much appreciation would I have, if answer you guys could. ;)
It depends on your director. Are you talking about using the tools, or how scientists use the tools?
For example, this hydrometer showed up on my regionals ...

Re: Entomology B/C
So, to get this started, any hints of what to come, or what to look out for?
I got a lot of everything... :D. If you are pressed on time I would focus on all of the big orders (the ones with multiple families listed) and then work your way down to the rarer/less known orders. Besides knowing what ...
