I would recommend this one by Jeremy Blum.

Re: Microcontrollers

Electric vehicles are typically implemented using a microcontroller (MCU).The control system is responsible for governing the operation of the electric vehicle. If you need any reliable information about this, contact dissertation help service. They have experts to describe about this. I recently ...

Re: Microcontrollers

You could get an LCD screen (one with I2C will probably be easiest) and make a keyboard of sorts out of pushbutton switches. You could do this pretty easy with three pushbuttons - one to increment the ones place, one to increment the tens place, one to increment the hundreds place - that way you ...

Re: Microcontrollers

What type of stepper motor? We have 6-pin ones a school, but no cables for the specific input/output.

I've only used 4-pin steppers for 3D printing, but here's an article describing various types of steppers . It seems like both 4-pin and 6-pin steppers are designed for low-speed high torque ...

Re: Electric Vehicle 2015-2016

Thanks for the insight. I ordered a microcontroller and have started doing the standard projects included and have a general understanding of how to program it. My biggest concern will be hooking the motor up to the arduino and having a way to control the voltage without programming uing a ...

Re: Electric Vehicle 2015-2016

Do you guys think microcontrollers will be allowed? If so, I need to start learning how to use them.
The wiki page for Electric Vehicle makes it sound like they were allowed, and I see no reason why they wouldn't be allowed for next year. I honestly don't even think they rules will say anything ...

Re: Microcontrollers

I've only worked briefly with an Arduino Uno so I can't answer your original question about Arduino vs. Raspberry Pi, but I'll link you to two useful pages: ELI5: Arduino and Raspberry Pi and readwrite: Arduino Vs. Raspberry Pi .

For your new question: would adjusting a potentiometer connected to ...

Re: Events 2015-2016?

It'll be very interesting to see Electric Vehicle pan out now that stepper motors, encoders, motor drivers and processors are so easy to come by. I know most of the time y'all just ban them outright, but that was always a big disappointment personally, it really limits the electronic solutions ...

Re: Designs

I don't see why they cannot just clarify this. What's holding them back?

Honestly, because it'll make the competition too much easier, they'll probably restraining themselves from letting us NOT lifting the golf balls. Only that can make sense, but there was a flaw to their rules. But what's ...
