While these videos are very cool, they don't really help with mission possible much. Most of those are mechanical. We have to do so many more. The mechanical ones are the easy ones.

I have another issue/question with the bridge length is it says it must be at least 45cm. My bridge is 45.5cm. Will their rig be able to hold my bridge in a stable way? Will the gap be an absolute 45cm?

For the most part, it shouldn't matter what sizes you use. The strength will be proportial to the sizes, and the sizes will be proportional to it's weight. So if you use smaller pieces, it will hold less, but weigh less. If you use larger pieces, it will hold more, but weigh more.
