Re: What does your school think of your SO team?
Generally, we all have at least some form of a social life. People think I'm a nerd at least. But then again, at least that was already my reputation before I joined. I don't mind, since I get to brag we made it to nats and we get days off of school. The science thing I brag to friends, though ...

Going to the CDC? Totally awesome! I'm in DD, so that would be sweet...
Yeah, most everything is closed like field trips and stuff, but no school is shut down as of now. Hopefully nationals won't be affected. That would suck majorly!

Ya'll don't really study?!?! I've been reading some of these replies and I'm surprised! We have a 1 hour practice every week, and even then it's sometimes not enough! We go in depth over different diseases, studies... Though we only made 8th at state

Re: Road Scholar
We made 5th at state. It was not that hard of a test, but I'm sure we got some wrong :D .There were some people outside the testing room competing against us that were asking each other if they'd read the rules, and did they know what contour lines were... :? My partner and I were looking at them ...

We had state a couple of days ago and there was photosynthesis, rocks I think, lab set up... The group question was actually one I'd seen on a practice TAKS! (Texas assesment of Knowlege and skills) I knew the answer as soon as I saw it!

Was anyone there at Texas state? Our plane was flying roughly 2 minutes or around it, and then we get there and the air conditioner is on! Our first flight stunk, only about 25 seconds... On our second flight, the plane bounced up and wnet about 1:25. The proctor counted it! My teammate and I even ...

Re: The Society for the Discontinuation of the Pentathlon
I'm not flaming, but what is exactly wrong with Pentathlon? I'm on the event, and it's a little bit of fun! I know everything else is fun, too, but it's something to run around and do. It's not something you can really study for, which is exactly the point. It's a test of a collection of knowledge ...

Re: What kind of crazy hats/outfits do teams wear at Nats?
I wasn't here last year, but my teammates said cheese heads are hard to get, and that it's fun! We brought and are going to bring again Cowboy hats! Whoop! I'll probably find some pens shaped like Texas or something...
